A local wealth management firm has taken the reins of a recently-formed angel investor group in Louisville.
Family Wealth is the new chapter affiliate of Derby City Angels and its managing partner, Issac LaFond, has been named chapter president.
The Derby City Angels investment group was first formed in May as part of the Sheltowee Angel Network. Sponsored by Louisville Healthcare CEO Council, University of Louisville, Amplify, and Hopewell Labs, the Louisville organization has had startups pitch from across the country, according to a news release.
“Family Wealth is excited to link arms with the Sheltowee Angel Network to help this startup community thrive," LaFond said in the release. "Family Wealth prides itself on providing transparency to opportunity for our clients so leading this collective of investors is a natural fit."
